In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, April 5th, the Arab Republic of Egypt condemned the indiscriminate bombing of the town of Khan Shikhun in the Syrian city of Idlib, which resulted in dozens of casualties and injuries, including a large number of innocent children.
The statement stressed that the inhuman and unacceptable scenes that were reported by the media as a result of this bombing confirm once again the importance of supporting the political settlement of the Syrian crisis as soon as possible on the basis of the resolutions of international legitimacy, particularly Security Council resolution 2254 and the outcomes of Geneva I. The statement also stressed the importance of international and regional efforts to root out terrorism and eradicate all its forms in Syria.
